What is the service process like?

Every engagement begins with an initial consultation meeting. This scoping session allows the CISERO support team and the beneficiary to discuss communication needs, identify priorities, and agree on the most appropriate type of support. Only after this consultation is a support activity confirmed and scheduled. This step is mandatory and ensures that the effort is well-directed and tailored to the specific context of each beneficiary.

Following the consultation, each beneficiary selects one support activity from the programme offering.

The support offering covers nine activity types

Strategy and consultation

Strategy and consultation provides beneficiaries with expert advice on their overall dissemination and exploitation approach, including target audiences, key messages, communication channels, and measurable objectives, delivered as a structured session with written recommendations.

Networking and outreach

Networking and outreach support focuses on mapping relevant stakeholders, communities, and events, and on helping beneficiaries craft effective outreach messages and connect with key actors within and beyond the IPCEI-CIS ecosystem.

Branding support

Branding support offers a review of the beneficiary's visual identity and messaging consistency, with practical guidance on strengthening brand positioning and coherence across communication materials.

Graphics production

For beneficiaries needing tangible communication assets, the programme offers graphics production, covering the design and delivery of one item such as a flyer, brochure, or infographic, including briefing, design iteration, and final delivery in both print-ready and digital formats.

Video Production

Video production supports the creation of one short video, from scripting and recording guidance through to editing and final delivery, suitable for project explainers, results dissemination, or event promotion.

Virtual events support

Virtual events support covers the end-to-end organisation of one online event, like webinars or workshops, including platform setup, agenda design, moderation, and a post-event summary.

Third party visibility

Third-party visibility support helps beneficiaries identify external conferences and events where their work could be showcased, and provides hands-on assistance in drafting and reviewing abstracts or speaker proposals.

Content production

Content production offers writing or co-writing support for one article or blog post intended for dissemination, covering topic framing, drafting, review, and publication guidance

Custom support

Custom support is available for beneficiaries whose needs do not fit neatly into any of the standard categories; in this case, a bespoke package is scoped and agreed jointly during the initial consultation.

The programme is always open to IPCEI-CIS beneficiaries, though to organise work effectively, applications are processed and delivered in scheduled rounds tied to defined cut-off dates. Applications received before a cut-off are handled in that round, while those submitted later roll over to the following one.

The programme operates under a small set of clear rules. Each application covers a single activity, chosen from the nine options above. The total support provided per activity is capped to guarantee a fair and consistent level of engagement across all beneficiaries. Participation is restricted to organisations that participate in the IPCEI-CIS projects. The programme accepts applications on a rolling basis, however the actual delivery of support is organised around periodic cut-off dates to allow the CISERO team to plan and allocate resources effectively. Beneficiaries who wish to access support for a different activity may submit a new application in a subsequent round, subject to availability.

In the event that the number of applications within a given round exceeds the available support capacity, priority will be determined by the date of application, with earlier submissions taking precedence. Where urgency may be a relevant factor, this will be assessed and clarified through follow-up communication between the applicant and the CISERO team.
