This has been a season of proof points for European digital sovereignty. Last week's EURO-3C kick-off, in June VivaTech in Paris, FACIS Connect  in BerlinEuCNC & 6G Summit in Málaga, and the discussions that followed CISERO's Vienna workshop. Across all of them, one message came through consistently: the ambition to build Europe's own cloud-edge continuum is no longer confined to policy papers — it is becoming market infrastructure, tested by real partners, real adopters and real competition.

Something has shifted. For a long time, IPCEI-CIS was about building, laying foundations, making architectural choices, writing code that would one day matter. That phase is not over, but a new one has begun. Projects are producing bold results, and the question is who else can benefit from this, and how do they get it?

CISERO will play an active role at the 8ra Annual Summit 2026, taking place on 19-20 March in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, as both organiser and supporter of multiple sessions designed to advance the IPCEI-CIS community.
