For future highly secure Cloud-Edge solutions, scalability, interoperability and trustworthiness as well as increasing energy efficiency through computing at the point of energy generation are highly relevant. The secunetEdgeCloud project from secunet Security Networks AG will develop fully integrated and automatically networked Cloud-Edge infrastructure modules that are characterised by maximum security. The nodes can be automatically connected to each other to form large computer networks, so that scaling networks can be created to provide computing power at low operating costs. This is achieved through security-conscious code development and selection, the use of state-of-the-art encryption and virtualisation technologies, and the cryptographic isolation of workloads. This combination of highly secure, energy-efficient, easy-to-use and open source-based technology closes a technological gap and is certifiable.
