Workshop on Digital ID management and data governance through emerging edge computing and DLT solutions

Workshop on Digital ID Management and Data Governance Through Emerging Edge Computing and DLT Solutions
Date: 10 February 2025
Time: 09:30–13:30
Location: Online
Event Overview
The rise of artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing, and blockchain technologies is transforming European industries and societies. These advancements are reshaping the industrial fabric, driving the adoption of decentralized energy systems, and fostering cooperation between sectors like energy, mobility, and buildings. As part of this transformation, the workshop will focus on the essential role of digital identity (ID) management, distributed ledger technology (DLT), and edge computing in creating a seamless and secure environment for data exchange across sectors.
The workshop is part of the EU-funded O-CEI project, which is driving innovation to develop cross-domain standards for flexible energy solutions, orchestrating data sharing, minimizing energy footprints, and promoting open standards for virtualization and interoperability.
Workshop Objective
The aim of the workshop is to address trusted and seamless data exchange across different sectors, specifically focusing on key applications such as smart buildings, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and more. Key themes include ID management, distributed ledger, digital wallet, SSI (Self-Sovereign Identity), and edge computing.
