Next Generation SLA Management Workshop by FACIS | 8ra
The FACIS project (Federation Architecture for Composition Infrastructure Services), part of the 8ra Initiative, will host its workshop “Next-Generation SLA Management”, on 24 November 2025 at Alte Münze, Berlin. The event focuses on the development of a European framework for secure, transparent, and harmonised Service Level Agreement (SLA) governance across the multi-provider cloud-edge continuum, bringing together industry, research, and policy stakeholders to discuss how federated infrastructures can operate with greater trust, reliability, and interoperability.
Why It Is Important to the CISERO Community (IPCEI-CIS Projects)
The FACIS | 8ra workshop directly supports the objectives of IPCEI-CIS and the CISERO community by addressing one of the most critical aspects of federated cloud-edge collaboration: trusted, measurable, and enforceable service commitments across providers and borders. SLA governance is a cornerstone of interoperability and legal certainty within Europe’s digital infrastructure. By developing harmonised taxonomies and machine-readable SLAs, FACIS contributes to a more transparent and reliable European cloud ecosystem, aligned with CISERO’s goals of supporting secure, interoperable, and energy-efficient cloud-edge infrastructures under a unified European governance model.
