EU Industry Talk: EU Tech Sovereignty Package – What It Means for European Industry
CISERO coordinator Matthias Kuom will speak at the first EU Industry Talk, a virtual session organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) on behalf of the European Commission, taking place on 24 June 2026.
The session opens with an overview of the EU Tech Sovereignty Package presented by Valentina de Vito, Policy Coordinator on Tech Sovereignty and Economic Security at DG CNECT. This will be followed by an interactive poll capturing participants' perspectives on the technological sovereignty challenges facing their industries, the opportunities the package presents and their organisation's readiness to adapt.
The centrepiece of the event is a panel discussion on what the package means in practice for European companies. Matthias Kuom will join the panel as a representative of the 8ra, alongside Laure Quintin, Director for European Affairs and Projects at Minalogic. The discussion will address current exposure to non-EU technology providers, the practical implications for sourcing, procurement and investment decisions, and how different sectors are already adapting to the shifting policy landscape.
The EU Industry Talks is a new webinar series by the ECCP bringing together business leaders, policymakers, industrial associations, investors and research organisations to exchange views on key EU industrial topics.
