CISERO Presents the IPCEI-CIS Marketplace at AIOTI Days 2026
From pilots to business
On 29 September 2026, CISERO took part in the CEI-Sphere session “Business cases from the ecosystem perspective: from technology validation to market readiness” at AIOTI Days 2026 in Florence. Gabriela Rogowska from Trust-IT Services presented CISERO’s work in support of the exploitation of IPCEI-CIS results. The hybrid session brought together European projects, start-ups and industry to examine what it takes to turn cloud-edge-IoT technology into services that customers adopt and pay for.

Why it matters
As the session organisers framed it, pilots have shown that the technology works. What remains less settled is how value is shared, who pays for what, and which services are worth building beyond a single project. The session compared two ecosystems, EV charging and smart mobility on one side, and distributed energy resources and grid flexibility on the other.
The same question applies to IPCEI-CIS. The CISERO Sustainability Roadmap, developed with IDC, finds that the main obstacles between validation and market are commercial rather than technical. The five largest providers, all non-European, hold around 82.8% of Europe’s public cloud infrastructure and platform market. High cost is the barrier European organisations cite most often for sovereign cloud, followed by complexity and skills. Supply also remains fragmented across national markets.
CISERO’s contribution
The presentation set out how CISERO helps IPCEI-CIS results reach users. It began with the position of IPCEI-CIS among European instruments such as the AI Factories, the Testing and Experimentation Facilities and the European Digital Innovation Hubs. It then summarised the Roadmap’s priorities for projects. The core of the presentation was the CISERO Marketplace. It lists around 40 IPCEI-CIS results, filterable by sector, technology and maturity.
